This was my first attempt at painting in oils.. I saw an image of a geisha and fell in love with the shapes, tones and the expression on her face.. almost like the Mona Lisa.
This image was done for a friend and donated to a fundraiser for him as he fought a condition that eventually cost him his life. I saw his struggle and how it affected his life as if he faced a giant.. he did it bravely and to the end.
