CHANGE
WOW….. so I believe I’ve talked about this before on here… maybe not, I’m not sure. I talk about it a lot actually…. CHANGE Now… to some, I may seem to some like a stick in the mud when it comes to change but that isn’t so. Change can be good… and sometimes it can be very necessary… vitally important, in fact. Copying artwork
I’ve been working on this lion head now for a few days and I’m fairly happy with how it’s turning out… It’s at a point now where I have to be careful to make sure its all symmetrical because of all the hard edges. It’s a good exercise to copy stuff like this I think… a lot of learning can be done when you’re copying something. Kinda reminds me of that old saying though, “monkey see monkey do”… because while saying that learning can be done though copying, there comes a point


Our heritage
Last week some idiots went and smashed the faces off of the statues by the foot of the Lions Gate Bridge… I was looking at pictures of them and felt the need to do a sculpt of one. They’re pretty cool looking lions… and a pretty sweet thing to have guarding the entrance to a bridge. I’ve never really gotten vandalism… I don’t get how someone looks at something nice and feels the need to destroy it. Spraying paint all over things is bad enough… but smashing a historical Vanco
